Asian Paints, India’s leading paint company, has deployed EMC’s VMAX all-flash to enhance its virtual machine environment.
Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world, servicing consumers in over 65 countries.
It was previously using EMC’s VMAXe. However, with the growing demands of the business, the system was running out of capacity.
EMC proposed a tech refresh of the existing VMAX with the new technologies. By installing the VMAX 450 F, Asian Paints will experience significant benefits in terms of footprint reduction, power cooling savings and a new system with better performance.
“We have partnered with EMC for the last 15 years and are looking forward to the shift to the VMAX 450F All Flash Array,” said Kevin Hill, Asian paints.
“With this move we expect to complement our virtualised infrastructure as well strengthen and simplify our storage deployment. This will help us to respond quickly to requests from application teams in IT and business owners across the organisation,” he added.
