EMC helps C-Edge reduce data center power use

EMC XtremIO 4.0 launched
C-Edge Technologies, a technology and infrastructure service provider to financial institutions, has reduced data center footprint, by deploying EMC XtremIO.

EMC Corporation, a storage solutions provider, said EMC XtremIO offers better performance, data reduction capabilities and integrated copy data management.

“The XtremIO has unique integrations with best-of-breed solutions that are optimized to meet the needs and challenges of your Agile Data Center,” said Syed Masroor, sales director, Flash Storage Sales India, EMC.

Investment in EMC’s XtremIO storage solution has enabled C-Edge Technologies to manage capacity needs and achieve the predictable system performance.

C Edge Technologies has gained from reduction in the data center footprint and power consumption by 10 X. The company could store 60 TB of data in about six TB of physical space.

The main benefit C Edge has realized from the XtremIO system is the ability to serve their customers as fast as possible, and with no downtime, for EoD batch processing and end-of-month report generation.

An optimized copy data management approach using XtremIO hashelped reduce EoD batch processing time by 50 percent

The main benefit of XtremIO has been to super-accelerate EoD and EoM job. An optimized copy data management approach using XtremIO has helped C Edge reduce EoDbatch processing time by 50 percent

“The greatest benefit we have realized from the XtremIO system is the ability to serve our end customers as fast as possible, and with no downtime, for EoD batch processing and EoM report generation,” said Sunil Singh, head DC-Infrastructure (Server, Storage and Database) at C-Edge Technologies.
