emc world 2016
Enterprise storage major EMC said Asian Paints has decided to shift to the VMAX 450F All Flash Array from VMAXe.

With this move Asian Paints aims to complement its virtualised infrastructure as well strengthen and simplify its storage deployment.

By installing the VMAX 450 F, Asian Paints will experience significant benefits in terms of footprint reduction, power cooling savings and a new system with better performance. Asian Paints operates in 19 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 65 countries.

Asian Paints could not manage its rapid growth on the VMAXe platform that was used for non-core production as well as Test & Development and quality. EMC promises to offer storage infrastructure that services the performance and scalability with the all new VMAX All Flash array.

EMC said VMAX All Flash supports block and file protocols for open systems and mainframe system and scales up to 4PB. Xpect More, maintenance package, offers guaranteed flash endurance protection and a lifetime flat-priced maintenance model.

EMC is also offering VMAX All Flash as a building block of the VCE Vblock and VxBlock 740 Systems.

Syed Masroor, sales director, Flash Storage Sales India, EMC, said the EMC VMAX All Flash delivers performance, scale, high availability, and advanced data services for all mission-critical applications.
