CSC delivers Patient Care Co-ordination Center

CSC has signed a deal with NHS Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to deliver and co-manage a first-of-type Patient Care Co-ordination Center (PCCC).

CSC will provide complete end to end offering.

IT services and solution provider said that services will range from initial patient communications through to clinical workflow based on a catalogue of services, to back-end analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery.

According to the contract, CSC will also provide innovative business process services and will work with partners to deliver clinical services.

Trafford CCG is responsible for the commissioning of healthcare services in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford in the North of England.

Trafford is an urban area with approximately 237,000 population.

“The PCCC is a key element of our strategy for delivering high quality, co-ordinated healthcare to the Trafford population,” said Nigel Guest, chief clinical officer at Trafford CCG

“The PCCC is designed to improve the coordination of care across primary, acute, community and mental health sectors and deliver a significantly improved experience for patients and care providers,” said Philippe Houssiau, vice president of UK Healthcare at CSC.

In January, DynPort Vaccine Company (DVC), a subsidiary of IT services and solutions company CSC, signed a follow-on contract with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Last month, Vattenfall selected CSC to build and deliver a next-generation IT workplace environment.
