TIBCO Software is set to acquire Mashery, a provider of Application Programming Interface (API) management.
The acquisition of Mashery, which was established in 2006, will assist TIBCO Software, a provider of integration, analytics, and event processing, to expand its API management solutions to help enterprises transform into digital businesses.
“By strengthening TIBCO’s integration technologies with Mashery’s API management, we enable customers to build and monetize applications,” said Murray Rode, CEO of TIBCO Software.
More than 200 top brands are utilizing Mashery’s multi-tenant SaaS platform to power their APIs.
As per the acquisition strategy, TIBCO Software will name Mashery’s offering as TIBCO Mashery and will become TIBCO’s API management offering.
TIBCO will support its TIBCO API Exchange products for existing customers, while it will combine TIBCO API Exchange Gateway with Mashery and name the combined API management solution TIBCO Mashery.
