Denso selects MobileIron to provide secure email access to employees

Denso, automotive parts manufacturers, has deployed MobileIron to securely enable hundreds of employee-owned iOS devices and to provide secure email access to employees on their own iOS devices.

Denso aimed to change how employees access the critical information and business processes they use every day.

The company said in addition to mobile device management (MDM), Denso is using MobileIron Web@Work to provide a secure browser.

MobileIron Web@Work allows employees to collaborate securely outside of the office.

Additionally, Web@Work allows user to wipe the data remotely when a device is stolen or lost.

“We wanted to use mobile devices to increase productivity so that we could be more competitive in overseas markets,” said Masahide Kobayashi, general manager of the IT infrastructure office at Denso.

Last month, Sky, an entertainment provider, tapped MobileIron to securely deliver media content to customers via mobile devices including smartphones and tablets.

Also, MobileIron launched the Preview of MobileIron for Windows 10 last month and is also working with Google to deliver MobileIron AppConnect framework to the Android Work platform.
