NCR brings new ATMs promising lower cash replenishment costs

NCR SelfServ ATM
NCR Corporation today announced the NCR SelfServTM 80 Series, its new ATM solutions for financial institutions to redefine the banking experience.

The new ATMs from NCR come with 19-inch multi-touch display that drives tablet-like interactions enabling consumers to swipe, pinch and zoom through transactions.

The new feature is video banking enabling financial institutions to offer personalized service of a live teller right at the ATM. NCR is the only company that can offer video banking fully integrated in one ATM platform.

NCR’s research shows that 80 percent of the transactions typically completed inside a physical branch can be completed through a live video teller at an ATM.

“ATMs with video tellers and enhanced capabilities can play a critical role in digital-first customer service by providing the combination of convenience and immediate assistance. It’s a way to restore a human face to an increasingly digital-banking relationship,” said Mark Schwanhausser, director Omnichannel Financial Services, Javelin Strategy & Research.

The design comes with customizable, color-coded media entry and exit indicators. 10-cassette cash dispense capability lowers cash replenishment costs.

“Several of the largest banks in the world, along with many community banks, have signed on for initial delivery contracts, with thousands of units installed to date,” said Joao Perez, senior vice president of NCR financial services sales.

NCR is offering SelfServ 80 ATM in select markets, including the United States and Canada, followed by global availability throughout 2017-2018.
