Indian software company Tally Solutions has achieved 1 million plus downloads of its GST ready software.

Tally Solutions launched Tally.ERP 9 Release 6 software on 26 June. Tally has more than 11 lakh registered customers and another 40 lakh unlicensed users.

“The traction on downloads is unprecedented in our 3 decade journey. We foresee this rush to continue over the next few months and are scaling up at all levels to ensure all our users are served adequately,” said Tejas Goenka, executive director at Tally Solutions.

Tally Solutions is organizing “Upgrade your Tally” camps throughout the country to help its users to shift to GST ready software.

The company along with its 28,000+ channel partners has already conducted more than 5,000 GST events across the country. It has partnered with associations like CAIT, FAIDA, ASSOCHAM, CII and principal companies and reached out to more than 2 lakh businesses.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said that despite the anticipation of initial disruptions on account of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), the roll-out of the new indirect tax regime from July 1 was smooth and without any significant glitches.

“When GST was implemented from July 1, it was anticipated that huge amount of disruptions would be caused. We in the government were factoring it. But the switch-over was smooth. We didn’t see any significant disruption due to GST roll-out,” Jaitley said through e-conferencing from New Delhi.
