The enterprise networking vendor has confirmed the resignation of COO Gary Moore and president Rob Lloyd. Both were considered the front-runners to become the next CEO when Chambers retired.

Padmasree Warrior joined Cisco in 2008 from Motorola, where she worked as CTO. Earlier, she co-shared the role of head of engineering with Pankaj Patel at Cisco. When Cisco started its reorganization a few years ago, Warrior was out of that role, and Patel became the sole leader of the engineering unit. Cisco engineers represent 35 percent of its 70,000 workforce. As a strategy of officer, her role was more significant at Cisco, reports Business Insider.

The new CEO Robbins will announce a new leadership team within the next two weeks. Expectations are that there will be more top level resignations at Cisco. The new CEO indicates at a flatter leadership team.
