IT services company Birlasoft has appointed Mindtree co-founder Anjan Lahiri as the chief executive officer.
Before joining Birlasoft, Anjan Lahiri has worked with Bangalore based Sasken Communications Technologies as the CEO.
Anjan Lahiri, who will be based at Birlasoft’s headquarter in Noida UP, will lead a workforce of over 4,000 employees to steer Birlasoft in its phase of growth. He will also be responsible to bolster the company’s capabilities in the emerging areas of Cloud and Analytics. Birlasoft has clients in industry verticals such as banking and financial services, insurance, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors.
Anjan Lahiri started his career with Wipro Infotech in 1987 and then joined Cambridge Technology Partners. In 1991, along with ex-colleagues from Wipro and Cambridge Technology Partners, Anjan founded Mindtree. He left Mindtree in 2013.
