Profluent Raises $106 mn

Profluent, founded and led by Ali Madani, Ph.D., has raised $106 million, co-led by Altimeter Capital and Bezos Expeditions, with participation from Spark Capital, Insight Partners, and Air Street Capital. The funding brings its total to $150 million. Profluent uses large frontier AI models to design proteins, genome editors, antibodies, and enzymes — powering “programmable biology.” Its Protein Atlas now holds over 115 billion unique proteins, and its OpenCRISPR-1 editor is already in use by global pharma and research groups. The investment will scale R&D, expand commercial partnerships, and accelerate therapeutic and biomanufacturing innovation.

It has already processed over $5 billion in loan applications, serving lenders and brokers, improving speed, consistency, and profitability while expanding access for underserved small businesses.

KERV.ai Secures Series B

KERV.ai, led by CEO Gary Mittman, closed its Series B funding, led by Coral Tree Partners. The funds will fuel R&D and infrastructure to expand its AI video-intelligence platform, which uses patented object-level metadata to transform video into interactive, shoppable, data-rich experiences. The startup supports brands, agencies, and publishers with AI-driven performance, contextual targeting, and shoppable video across OLV and CTV. KERV.ai plans to scale globally, deepen strategic partnerships, and deliver measurable commerce outcomes via its innovative contextual commerce solutions.
