Zhipu AI Raises $137 mn

Chinese AI startup Zhipu AI has secured over 1 billion yuan ($137.22 million) in fresh VC funding from state-backed Hangzhou City Investment Group Industrial Fund and Shangcheng Capital. This move aligns with Hangzhou’s goal to be a major AI hub. Zhipu AI faces rising competition from DeepSeek, whose open-source AI models challenge Western platforms at lower costs.

Vermillio Raises $16 mn

Vermillio, an AI licensing and protection platform, has raised $16 million in Series A funding led by Sony Music Entertainment and DNS Capital. The funds will expand operations and enhance generative AI solutions for content protection and monetization.

Cloudsmith Raises $23 mn

Cloudsmith, a cloud-native artifact management platform, secured $23 million in Series B funding led by TCV, with Insight Partners and others. Experiencing 150 percent growth, Cloudsmith positions itself as a modern alternative to JFrog and Sonatype. The funds will expand teams and enhance AI-driven software security.

Atmosic Technologies Secures $40 mn

Atmosic Technologies, a leader in ultra-low-power compute and connectivity, raised $40 million in Series D funding led by Sutter Hill Ventures, with Clear Ventures, Quantum Innovation Fund, and others. The company will expand its IoT solutions for intelligent sensing and edge computing, reducing energy consumption.

Viam Secures $30 mn

Viam, an AI and automation engineering platform, announced a $30 million Series C funding round led by Union Square Ventures, with Battery Ventures, Neurone, and others. Raising $117 million to date, Viam is strengthening European partnerships, especially within Italy’s industrial sector.

HeyMilo Secures $2.2 mn

HeyMilo, an AI-powered candidate screening platform, secured $2.2 million in seed funding led by Canaan Partners, with Alumni Ventures and Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator. The funds will accelerate product development, team expansion, and customer acquisition, transforming AI-driven hiring efficiency.
