VC funding: Tier IV, Kyash, Emerging Travel Group

Tier IV, Kyash, Emerging Travel Group, Milkbasket, Uniphore Software, among others, have raised funds from VC investors.

Grocery delivery start-up Milkbasket has raised an additional $10.5 million in its latest round of funding led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from Mayfield India, Kalaari Capital, and Blume Ventures and few Indian family offices.

Uniphore Software

Global conversational AI start-up, Uniphore Software Systems has raised $38 million in a Series C round led by California-based March Capital Partners at an estimated valuation of $130 million. National Grid Partners, Sistema Asia Fund, IntuitiveVC, The CXO Fund, Patni Wealth Advisors and existing investor Chiratae Ventures also participated in this round.

Tier IV

Tier IV, the open-source self-driving start-up in Japan, has raised over $100 million in total in a Series A funding, led by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance, with participation from existing investors, Yamaha Motor, KDDI, JAFCO and AISAN TECHNOLOGY.

Emerging Travel Group

Emerging Travel Group has closed a $10 million financing led by entrepreneur Lev Leviev of LVL1 Group and the family office of Playrix co-founders, Igor and Dmitri Bukhman.


Kyash, developer of Kyash wallet app and payment platform Kyash Direct, has raised $14 million in Series B funding led by Goodwater Capital, as well as Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co.  Additional investors include Toppan Printing, JAFCO, Shinsei Corporate Investment and SMBC Venture Capital. Kyash’s total funding reached nearly $26 million to date.
