Syte, a visual AI technology company, has raised $21.5 million in Series B funding led by Viola Ventures with the participation of Storm Ventures, Commerce Ventures, and Axess Ventures and previous investors. Syte has raised $30 million to date.
Root Insurance, an insurance technology company, has raised $350 million in Series E funding led by DST Global and Coatue with the participation of existing investors Drive Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Scale Venture Partners, and Tiger Global Management, along with several new investors. Root has now raised $523 million in funding, with an additional $100 million in debt financing.
AppZen, a leading AI platform for modern finance teams, has secured $50 million in Series C funding led by Coatue Management with the participation of existing investors Redpoint Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners. AppZen raised more than $100 million to date.
TA Associates, a growth private equity firm, has completed a minority investment in MISA Joint Stock Company (MISA), a software provider in Vietnam. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
SGI-DNA, a developer of synthetic genomics technologies and DNA data storage solutions, has completed a $25 million Series A financing round led by Northpond Ventures, with participation from Oxford Finance and BroadOak Capital Partners.

BigID has raised nearly $100 million in the last 18 months.
