VC funding: Spoon, Seoul Robotics, Buildium

Spoon, Seoul Robotics, Buildium, NETE, CallMiner, Hourly, Trainual, Satori Cyber, LogicGate, Odoo, Machfu, among others, announced their latest VC funding rounds.

Seoul Robotics, a software provider for Lidar sensors, has raised $5 million in funding from the largest Korean financial institutions and a VC firm led by a former head of M&A APAC for Google.


Sumeru Equity Partners (SEP), a technology investment firm, announced the completion of the sale of Buildium, a SaaS real estate property management solution provider, to RealPage. SEP was majority owner and lead investor in Buildium.


NTT DATA Services has agreed to acquire NETE, a provider of digital design and transformation services for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies.

NTT DATA will add more than 300 team members and expand the company’s breadth of services across the public sector health space by growing its digital expertise in federal health.


CallMiner, a supplier AI-fueled speech and customer interaction analytics, has closed a $75 million investment round from Goldman Sachs.


Teraki has closed $11 million in Series A funding to address the problem of data demand in electronics components such as those embedded in automotive systems. Teraki raised $16.3 million to date.


Hourly, a Palo Alto-based startup that simplifies workers’ comp insurance, payroll and time tracking for small business owners, has raised $7.15 million in seed funding. The round was led by Aya Peterburg and Haim Sadger of S Capital, with participation from Inovia Capital, J-Angels and 22 angel investors.


Trainual, a supplier in the Business Knowledge Transfer market, has closed a $6.75 million Series A funding round led by 4490 Ventures and MATH Venture Partner.

Satori Cyber

Satori Cyber, the Israeli startup in data protection and governance business, has raised $5.25 million in seed funding led by YL Ventures.


LogicGate, a process automation platform enabling organizations to operationalize governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) programs, announced $24.75 million in new funding. The round includes a combination of equity and venture debt co-led by Jump Capital and High Alpha Capital, with participation from Greenspring Associates and Silicon Valley Bank.


Odoo, a supplier in business software space, has closed a $90 million minority investment led by global growth equity investor Summit Partners, with participation from Odoo’s executive management team and existing investor SRIW and its affiliate Noshaq.


Machfu, a supplier in Edge Intelligence Platform and Applications for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), has closed $3.75 million in its Series A round. This investment is led by CSL Ventures with participation from existing and new investors, Blu Ventures, Texas Ventures and Texas Halo Fund.


Spoon, an audio live stream platform, has raised $40 million in Series B funding — led by KB Investment, a Korean VC, with participation from IMM Investment, SBI Investment, and a strategic investment from Naver.


Aylien, a provider of AI-powered risk intelligence and financial analytics solutions, has raised €5 million in its Series A funding round — led by Finch Capital with participation of existing investors, Atlantic Bridge University Fund, SOSV, and Enterprise Ireland. Parsa Ghaffari is the founder and CEO of Aylien.
