Technology companies such as Klook, Deep Lens, Branch, Simudyne, Attest, Fleetsmith, MINIEYE, Clozette, Tibit Communications, Upstart, among others, have announced their latest VC funding rounds from investors.
Klook
Klook, a travel activities and services booking platform, has raised $225 million in Series D+ funding – led by SoftBank Vision Fund with participation from existing investors, including Sequoia China, Matrix Partners, TCV, and OurCrowd. This increases the company’s total Series D funding round to $425 million.
Deep Lens
Deep Lens, an AI-driven digital pathology company, has closed a $14 million Series A financing, led by Northpond Ventures with participation of existing investors Rev1 Ventures, Sierra Ventures, and Tamarind-Hill Partners. Funding to date now totals $17.5 million.
Branch
Branch, the most downloaded finance app in Africa, announced investment from Visa. Visa’s investment in Branch will help expand financial access across the African continent, while fuelling new expansion in India and Latin America.
Simudyne
Simudyne, a simulation technology company, has closed a $6 million Series A fundraise, led by Barclays alongside a distinguished set of institutions. The new funding round includes Graphene Ventures and Gauss Ventures.
Attest
Attest, the London-based technology start-up, announced a $16 million Series-A investment round to expand their Consumer Growth Platform — led by venture capital firm NEA headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with participation from existing investors Oxford Capital and Episode 1 Ventures.
Fleetsmith
Fleetsmith, a provider of automated Apple device management, announced $30 million in Series B funding led by Menlo Ventures with participation from Tiger Global Management, Upfront Ventures, and Harrison Metal. Its total funding reached over $40 million.
MINIEYE
MINIEYE, a Chinese company concentrating on developing sensing system of autonomous driving, raised $20 million in last six months — led by NavInfo fund and co-invested by Zhejiang Zheshang capital and original investors.
Clozette
Clozette, a transformative new media company, announced an investment of $10 million in Series C funding from Cool Japan Fund.
Tibit Communications
Tibit Communications, a start-up developer of access devices for Passive Optical Networking [PON], announced a Series B investment of $20 million led by Intel Capital.
Upstart
Upstart, an artificial intelligence (AI) lending platform, announced a $50 million equity investment from Progressive Investment Company, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan, and First National Bank of Omaha.
Upstart has raised more than $160 million since inception and has more than $100 million in cash and equity capital on hand.
