VC funding: Element AI, Applied Intuition, Prevu, Shape Security

Element AI, Applied Intuition, Prevu, Shape Security, SocialFlow, among others, announced their latest VC funding or PE funding from investment firms.

Element AI, a developer of artificial intelligence-powered (AI) software solutions, has raised $151.4 million in a Series B Round of financing.

New investors include Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec (CDPQ), McKinsey & Company, and Gouvernement du Quebec, as well as returning Series A investors, including Data Collective (DCVC), Hanwha Asset Management, BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada), Real Ventures and many others. Element AI raised $257 million to date.

Applied Intuition

Applied Intuition, a provider of simulation platform to power autonomous vehicle, has raised $40 million in Series B financing led by General Catalyst with participation from Kleiner Perkins, M12 (Microsoft), Sozo Ventures (Japan), and La Famiglia (Germany) with the participation of previous investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Lux Capital, and Floodgate.

Prevu

Prevu, a digital home buying platform, has raised $2 million in seed funding round led by Corigin Ventures with the participation of Kairos and AVG Basecamp Fund.

Shape Security

Shape Security, a provider of platform for bot and online fraud mitigation, has received $51 million in financing round led by C5 Capital, a venture capital firm with the participation of

Kleiner Perkins, HPE Growth, Norwest Ventures Partners, Focus Ventures, JetBlue Technology Ventures, Top Tier Capital Partners, and EPIC Ventures. Shape Security raised $173 million to date.

SocialFlow

SocialFlow, a social media distribution and monetization platform, has raised $3.5 million in funding round. The company did not reveal additional details.
