IBM

Vodafone New Zealand has selected IBM to deliver the Digital Vodafone 2021 program in New Zealand.

IBM announced its new European clients that have selected IBM Watson Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.

Spain-based electricity grid operator Red Electrica de Espana, Italy-based elderly care provider Cooperativa Sole, Netherlands-based telecom operator Tele2 and Israel-based manufacturer of smart air conditioning Electra Group are the latest clients of IBM for the Watson IoT platform.

IBM

ExxonMobil, an international oil and gas company, is using the IBM Cloud as the foundation for its Speedpass+ app. The app leverages the IBM Cloud to process and analyze mobile transaction data from drivers at the gas station to get drivers back on the road faster.

FlexTrade

FlexTrade announced that Albar Capital, a hedge fund led by Javier Velazquez, is now trading equities and futures using FlexNOW, FlexTrade’s new execution management system.

Cognizant

Cognizant announced a modernized implementation of business processes and core banking systems for Bank Julius Baer in its Asia Pacific region as part of a digital transformation.

Bank Julius Baer used the Temenos T24 core banking software platform and the Cognizant Banking and Financial Services Amplify solution for core modernization to automate and simplify transactions and modernize operations.

Pratt & Whitney

Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies, and Air Transat announced the selection of Pratt & Whitney GTF engines to power 17 A321neo family aircraft: 2 A321neo and 15 long-range A321LR aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney also said the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine will power up to 60 Airbus A220 aircraft ordered under a memorandum of understanding by a start-up airline to be based in the United States.

Xerox

Xerox announced its technology deal with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) to provide workflow automation solutions, managed print services, office equipment and production presses to the 12 member states of the Compact, as well as states in sister compacts.

Airbus

AirAsia Group expanded an order for Airbus A330neo passenger jets, adding 34 aircraft to an existing order to bring the total to 100 long-haul wide-body jets worth $30 billion.

Deputy

Deputy, a workforce management software company, announced that Alpha Coffee, a coffee shop and retailer, will deploy the Deputy platform to optimize its workforce management.

Liaison Technologies

Liaison Technologies announced that Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales & Services Company will its first Embrace & Replace program customer. Embrace & Replace program gives enterprises that use legacy technologies a low-risk, transformational path to the cloud.

Veridos

Veridos announced a €340 million, 12-year contract with Bangladesh for the supply, installation, and implementation of next generation electronic passports and border control systems in Bangladesh.
