Tech deals: Samsung, Fiserv, NCR, WNS, IBM, Pareteum

Samsung Electronics, Fiserv, Motorola Solutions, NCR, Sapiens, WNS, General Dynamics, Pareteum, IBM, Engility, Eventus Systems, Yardi, among others, have announced their tech deals or technology deployments.

Fiserv

Fiserv announced that 19 banks have moved to Fiserv for core account processing — within the past nine months. Each institution will utilize their selected platform as a foundation to include integrated digital banking and payment capabilities.

Samsung Electronics

Samsung Electronics America has joined hands with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Division to develop a new mobile solution that supplements existing public safety communication systems.

The solution will include an Agent Alert messaging system for CDCR law enforcement personnel to communicate with Command Central, and an SOS application function for supporting them if they are caught in an adverse situation.

Motorola Solutions

Police officers from the Orlando Police Department are using Motorola Solutions Si500 body-worn cameras to strengthen community trust by improving accountability and transparency.

NCR

NCR announced that Enmarket Convenience Stores will introduce NCR Mobile Payments solution for fuel retailers across its locations. The NCR application enables Enmarket to tender payments beyond the store through a cloud-based platform and deliver personalized digital offers to its customers via a mobile app.

WNS

WNS (Holdings) announced its new deal with Air France-KLM Group, an air transport player. Currently, WNS provides Passenger Revenue Accounting, Fare Filling, and Revenue integrity services to Air France-KLM Group. The new deal will include Cargo Revenue Accounting services as well.

Sapiens

Sapiens International, a provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, announced its tech deal with Maryland-based Harford Mutual Insurance Company to supply the Sapiens North American Property and Casualty Insurance Platform.

General Dynamics

General Dynamics Land Systems has won a $383 million contract modification from the US Army to upgrade 173 more Stryker flat-bottom vehicles to the A1 configuration.

Pareteum

Pareteum announced a $50 million contract with One Development, Thailand’s first mobile virtual network aggregator and enabler. Pareteum’s cloud software platform will power One Development’s ability to offer a turnkey solution to the over 50 companies that have obtained a mobile virtual network operator license in Thailand.

Engility

Engility Holdings has won $25 million in contracts to support the US Navy. The company will perform systems engineering, cybersecurity, and research and development for various Navy customers across the United States.

IBM

IBM announced growing adoption of its food supply chain network, IBM Food Trust. The blockchain-based cloud network offers participating retailers, suppliers, growers and food industry providers with data from across the food ecosystem to enable greater traceability, transparency and efficiency.

Eventus Systems

Eventus Systems, a provider of regtech software solutions for the capital markets, announced its deal with GAIN Capital Holdings. GAIN has deployed Eventus’ cloud-based version of the Validus platform to manage the market surveillance program for its futures operation.

Yardi

BNP Paribas Real Estate Property Management has selected Yardi as its technology partner to provide cloud-based asset and property management software solutions for clients in the Netherlands.
