Tech deals: Huawei, Octo, Ruckus Networks, Barracuda, Oracle

Huawei, Yardi Voyager, Octo, Tata Elxsi, Ruckus Networks, Barracuda Networks, Triton Digital, MiX Telematics, Oracle, among others, have announced their tech deals or technology deployments for their business customers.

Huawei

Huawei announced its tech deal with Bosch, a supplier of technology and services, to accelerate the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in China. The agreement will see the two partners make Bosch’s IoT Suite software services available in China on Huawei Cloud.

Octo

Octo Consulting Group (Octo), a IT Federal services provider, has won a $25 million tech deal from Defense Health Agency (DHA) to provide information technology support services to the DHA Research and Development (R&D) Directorate for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (PH/TBI).

Yardi Voyager

Yardi Voyager has bagged a tech deal from Cityland Real Estate Development, a developer of retail shopping and entertainment center in the UAE, for supplying its property management and accounting operations.

Tata Elxsi

Tata Elxsi announced its tech agreement with Mobis Technical Centre, India, a subsidiary of Hyundai Mobis, South Korea, for the development of Synthetic Scene Generator Tool.

HMTCI and Tata Elxsi are working on developing a tool that can replicate every real-world scenario an automobile could encounter. This tool would accelerate the research and development support HMTCI is providing to their OEMs in autonomous driving.

Ruckus Networks

Ruckus Networks, an ARRIS company, announced its tech deal with Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) for supplying its indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi access points (APs) to provide fast connectivity in the Banc of California Stadium.

Barracuda Networks

Barracuda Networks announced that it added more than 200 new customers for public cloud deployments per quarter — over the past four consecutive quarters.

Barracuda customers consumed more than 3 million Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) hours annually on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) combined. Barracuda CloudGen Firewall bookings grew 57 percent for the second quarter fiscal 2019 that ended August 31, 2018. CloudGen Firewall bookings through its MSP business grew 173 percent over the same period.

Triton Digital

Triton Digital announced its tech deal with Planet Broadcasting, a podcast network in Australia, to drive the delivery and monetization of its podcast content.

MiX Telematics

MiX Telematics has surpassed the 700,000 subscriber mark. MiX Telematics added more than 22,000 new subscribers in the second fiscal quarter, ending September 2018.

Oracle

Oracle announced its tech deal with LinkedIn to help HR professionals meet the shifting demands of the talent economy. New integrations between Oracle’s HCM Cloud and Taleo Enterprise Edition, and LinkedIn, will help HR teams attract and retain employees by growing their talent pool.
