ShopOS secures $20 mn to drive AI-powered innovation in e-commerce

ShopOS, a startup developing an AI-native operating system for commerce, has raised $20 million in funding led by Binny Bansal’s 3STATE Ventures. This strategic investment will power the company’s next phase of growth — fueling platform development, expanding its Product and Engineering teams, and accelerating global onboarding of brand partners.

At the heart of ShopOS is a mission to transform the outdated and labor-intensive infrastructure that e-commerce brands currently rely on. Today’s systems are plagued by inefficiencies in content creation, marketing personalization, and store management, limiting scalability and profitability for global brands. ShopOS tackles these challenges with a full-stack AI workforce embedded into the operational core of e-commerce businesses.

The platform operates around three pillars:

Make: AI agents serve as a creative studio, learning brand identity to auto-generate high-quality content — text, images, and videos — for diverse product lines and markets.

Market: ShopOS acts as a global marketing engine, building localized campaigns, automating workflows, and optimizing ad spend through AI-driven segmentation and personalization.

Manage: The system dynamically adapts online storefronts for each visitor in real-time, personalizing layouts, product recommendations, and content based on behavioral data.

Founded by Sai Krishna V K, Ajay P V, and Karan Sonawala — who bring experience from Flipkart, Scapic, and immersive AI technologies — ShopOS builds on a proven track record of scalable innovation in Indian and global e-commerce.

Binny Bansal praised the venture’s vision, stating: “ShopOS is building the commerce stack of the future with AI at its core. The team’s expertise in deep tech and e-commerce positions them to reshape how brands operate in a cross-border, hyper-personalized world.”

The co-founders see a paradigm shift underway in e-commerce, with ambient AI agents poised to autonomously execute core functions — ushering in the era of “generative commerce.” With early customers in India, Europe, and the UAE, ShopOS plans rapid global expansion, drawing on India’s AI talent pool to drive product innovation.
