The VC funding round was led by Glilot Capital Partners’ early growth fund, Glilot+, with participation from IBM, Korean Investment Partners, and other new and existing investors including TPY Capital.

The investment will fuel QEDMA’s development of software designed to reduce, mitigate, and correct quantum errors — a major barrier to realizing scalable, fault-tolerant quantum systems.

Founded in 2020 through an academic-meets-industry collaboration, QEDMA was born from a shared belief by Professors Netanel Lindner and Dorit Aharonov and physicist Dr. Asif Sinay that tackling noise on a per-device basis could unlock more practical quantum computing. The trio combined theoretical advances in fault tolerance with pragmatic approaches to quantum error management, laying the foundation for QEDMA’s innovation strategy.

QEDMA’s software is designed to work seamlessly with existing quantum hardware to significantly expand the size and complexity of possible quantum computations — by as much as 1,000 times. The core strategy involves a two-tiered approach: real-time suppression of certain types of errors through algorithmic adjustment based on each device’s unique noise signature, and post-processing mitigation of residual errors. Looking ahead, the company plans to layer in proprietary error correction techniques as quantum hardware matures, enabling even greater reliability.

The funding will also support QEDMA’s growing collaborations with quantum hardware companies and research institutions, where it aims to soon demonstrate quantum advantage. With its hybrid strategy that blends error suppression, mitigation, and correction, QEDMA is positioned to accelerate the timeline toward commercially viable quantum computing.
