The VC funding round was led by NGP Capital, with participation from Sorenson Capital and Headline, alongside returning investors including Flybridge Capital, Notable Capital, Mango Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures, and IBM.

This latest investment builds on the $20 million Series A raised in 2023, reflecting strong investor confidence in NetBox Labs’ role in reshaping how modern networks and infrastructure are managed. NetBox is widely regarded as the industry standard for infrastructure management, already in use by tens of thousands of organizations including hyperscalers, Fortune 500 companies, and AI-native enterprises.

Co-founder and CEO Kris Beevers said, “NetBox is now a ubiquitous platform at the heart of a composable network and infrastructure management stack, with adoption soaring even more as AI drives massive demand for infrastructure.” He emphasized the growing urgency to modernize infrastructure to support resilient, automated, and secure operations in an increasingly digital world.

NetBox Labs is using its funding to accelerate product development, expand its global workforce, and scale customer-facing operations. It is actively hiring across engineering, marketing, sales, partnerships, and customer success. The company’s globally distributed team has quadrupled in size over the last two years.

Investor NGP Capital sees the company as a category-defining platform. “NetBox Labs represents a powerful convergence of open-source innovation and enterprise-scale network automation,” said Upal Basu, Partner at NGP Capital. “Every infrastructure team in the world knows NetBox.”

NetBox Labs is building a comprehensive ecosystem around its core product portfolio, which includes:

NetBox: the system of record for network and infrastructure management

NetBox Discovery: for automated network and device discovery

NetBox Assurance: for identifying and resolving infrastructure drift

NetBox Operator: an AI-powered operations platform for network teams

Customers like CoreWeave, a fast-scaling AI datacenter operator, rely on NetBox to optimize deployment speed and streamline operations. “Deploying our infrastructure even a month sooner as a result of these efficiencies directly impacts our revenue,” said Jim Julson, head of network at CoreWeave.

By unifying observability, automation, and security into a single open-source-driven stack, NetBox Labs is poised to displace fragmented legacy tools and serve as the central nervous system for AI-era infrastructure.

NetBox Labs continues to cultivate a vibrant global community of users, contributors, and integration partners.
