Nuvocargo Acquires Mentum

Nuvocargo, a North America-focused logistics platform, has acquired YC-backed Mentum, a San Francisco-based startup specializing in AI-driven procurement and supply-chain automation. The acquisition aims to accelerate Nuvocargo’s roadmap toward building “NuvoOS”, an AI-native operating system unifying procurement through freight management. Strategically, Nuvocargo will integrate Mentum’s technologies and team into its R&D division to enhance automation and differentiate from traditional freight platforms. Technologically, Mentum contributes large-language-model-based agents, human-in-the-loop verification, and ERP-integrated supplier workflow automation. The deal underscores Nuvocargo’s commitment to intelligent logistics, though financial terms were not disclosed.

RAEK Data Acquires FirstPartyData.com

RAEK, an emerging leader in first-party data and identity resolution, has acquired FirstPartyData.com to advance its mission of powering the “first-party data engine for the AI economy.” The acquisition aims to help brands and AI systems rely on accurate, permission-based data instead of third-party cookies. Strategically, RAEK will integrate FirstPartyData.com’s data services and identity technology to accelerate initiatives like Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generation Engine Optimization (GEO). Technological innovation includes EchoID for real-time identity resolution, clean datasets, and a scalable cloud-native infrastructure. The transaction strengthens RAEK’s position in privacy-first marketing; deal size was undisclosed.

Chewy Acquires SmartEquine

Chewy, Inc., a leading name in pet supplies and healthcare, has entered a definitive agreement to acquire SmartEquine (formerly SmartPak) from Covetrus, Inc. The acquisition marks Chewy’s expansion into the equine health and wellness segment — a high-margin niche market. The strategic goal is to combine SmartEquine’s premium supplements, gear, and loyal customer base with Chewy’s logistics, e-commerce technology, and customer engagement systems. Innovation lies in SmartEquine’s subscription-based nutrition and personalized wellness programs, supported by data-driven insights. The move positions Chewy as a comprehensive provider of pet and equine care solutions. Deal terms were not publicly disclosed.
