IKEA Acquires U.S. Logistics Tech Firm Locus to Boost Delivery Efficiency

IKEA has acquired U.S.-based logistics technology company Locus to enhance its delivery operations and support its growing online sales. The deal, whose value was not disclosed, aims to simplify logistics and cut global delivery costs by an estimated €100 million ($117.41 million) annually. Locus uses AI to optimize order grouping and route planning, reducing delivery times and enabling more flexible delivery options with live tracking. IKEA plans to pilot the technology in the U.S. and UK before expanding it globally, complementing its $2.2 billion investment push in the U.S. market.

REA Group acquires a majority stake in iGUIDE

REA Group, a leader in property technology and digital real estate platforms, acquired a majority stake in iGUIDE, a Canadian firm specializing in 3D visualization and camera systems for real estate marketing. The deal enhances REA’s immersive technology offerings with advanced 3D mapping, LiDAR-based scanning, and AI-powered spatial analytics. Strategically, it enables REA to deliver virtual property tours, automated floor plan generation, and enhanced listing visualization tools across its global platforms. The investment, estimated at $150–$200 million, underscores REA’s commitment to innovation in proptech and its vision of redefining digital property experiences through interactive, data-driven imaging solutions.

Gage acquires Data Management Services

Gage, a managed IT and cybersecurity services provider, acquired Data Management Services (DMS) to expand its capabilities in cloud infrastructure, network security, and enterprise data solutions. The acquisition enhances Gage’s managed service portfolio with DMS’s expertise in virtual server management, backup systems, and end-user support for small and mid-sized businesses. Strategically, this integration enables Gage to deliver end-to-end IT lifecycle management with improved operational resilience and automation. The deal, valued at approximately $10 million, reflects Gage’s strategy to scale its managed services footprint and accelerate digital transformation offerings through innovative, customer-centric technology solutions.
