IIIT-Delhi bags 342 offers during campus placement for 2016-2017 batch

jio-for-studentsIIIT-Delhi has received 342 offers, with an average compensation package of 12 lakh per annum during its campus placement for the batch of 2016-2017.

The campus hosted 102 companies. The maximum annual compensation offer was of Rs 35 lakh from Works Application for BTech graduate.

Several companies made offers of up to 26.5 lakh for MTech graduates. Google, Amazon, Directi, IBM Research, Sandisk, Qualcomm, Works Application, Adobe and Oracle are the prominent tech companies looking for graduates from III-T Delhi.

Tech companies are hiring software developers, research engineers, data scientist, design engineer, system engineer, business analyst, frontend / backend developers etc. The campus hosted all the Big 4 consulting groups during the first phase.

Chip company Qualcomm offered the maximum annual compensation package of Rs 16.5 lakh. Qualcomm emerged as the biggest recruiter of the season making 32 offers — 14 intern and 18 full-time offers.

The majority of MTech ECE students have received​ core jobs and core internship. The placement breakup is: 98.86 percent for BTech CSE students 92 percent for BTech ECE, 92.45 percent forMTech CSE and 93.75  percent for MTech ECE.

Pankaj Jalote, director of IIIT-Delhi in a statement said the information technology & information technology enabled services sectors are on the rise. There are new avenues of jobs in the software and hardware development, technology consultancies and software management.
