In addition to KKR’s significant contribution, Inovia Capital participated in the funding round, along with existing investors such as Apax, MSD, and Sixth Street. The infusion of capital is intended to further develop Guesty’s platform for property managers and to facilitate market consolidation, thereby expanding the company’s global reach.

The newly acquired funds will be utilized to meet the growing demands of the short-term rental market, which currently boasts a valuation of $277 billion. With a noticeable shift in consumer preferences towards alternative accommodation options, such as STRs, Guesty aims to stay ahead of the curve by enhancing its offerings and features.

As part of the investment deal, prominent figures from KKR and Inovia Capital are set to join Guesty’s Board of Directors. This includes Stephen Shanley and Lauriane Requena from KKR, along with Dennis Kavelman representing Inovia Capital.

The expansion strategy entails bolstering operations across the United States, introducing innovative features to enrich vacation rental experiences, and targeting key European markets like France, Germany, and Spain. Moreover, Guesty aims to strengthen its presence in Australia through tailored developments catering to local customer needs.

Commenting on the successful funding round, Amiad Soto, CEO & Co-Founder of Guesty, expressed his excitement: “Guesty has enjoyed five-fold growth during the last three years. We’re delighted that this has been recognized by top-tier investors KKR and Inovia, and we’re excited to have them onboard alongside our other investors as we enter our next growth period.”

KKR’s investment in Guesty aligns with its Next Generation Technology Growth Fund III, reflecting the firm’s dedicated focus on growth equity investments within the technology sector. Over the years, KKR has demonstrated its prowess in this domain, having invested over $21.6 billion in related ventures since 2014, and assembling a specialized team of more than 35 investment professionals with extensive expertise in technology growth equity.

This investment in Guesty adds to KKR’s portfolio of successful tech growth ventures, which includes companies like DarkTrace, KnowBe4, o9 Solutions, Onestream, OutSystems, NetSPI, and Restaurant365. News Desk
