Goldman Sachs announced that 200 women entrepreneurs are set to raise Rs 850 crore ($100 million) from investors, supporting business expansion and job creation across India.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the success of the “Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women” initiative, noting its role in unlocking women’s entrepreneurial potential and driving economic activities, with 3,500 women already creating jobs through the program.
The initiative aligns with India’s long-term goals under “Amrit Kaal” as the country works towards becoming a developed nation (Viksit Bharat) by 2047, according to Minister Goyal.
In partnership with NSRCEL, the incubation arm of IIM Bangalore, the initiative equips women entrepreneurs with finance skills, mentorship, networking, and investor connections to grow their businesses.
Leaders Asahi Pompey and Sonjoy Chatterjee emphasized that empowering women-led businesses can catalyze sustainable job creation, economic growth, and wealth generation by bridging the credit gap for women entrepreneurs in India.
