Tech startups such as Melio, BETA Technologies, Bifrost AI, and Persperity Health, announced their VC funding deals with venture capital companies.
Melio Raises $150 mn
Melio, an advanced accounts payable and receivable platform aimed at empowering small to medium businesses, has secured $150 million in Series E funding, achieving a $2 billion valuation. The VC funding was led by financial services giant Fiserv, with additional support from Shopify Ventures and Capital One Ventures. Other participants in this round included Accel, Bessemer, Coatue, Frontline Ventures, General Catalyst, Latitude, and Thrive Capital.
The funding will enable Melio to scale partnerships and extend its solutions for cash flow management and payment efficiency to larger client bases, including medium-sized businesses.
BETA Technologies Secures $318 mn
BETA Technologies, an electric aviation company known for its fixed-wing and eVTOL aircraft, has raised $318 million in a Series C round. Led by the Qatar Investment Authority, the VC funding round also saw significant participation from Fidelity Management & Research Company, TPG Rise Climate, and longtime customer United Therapeutics. BETA raised over $1 billion to date.
BETA will use the funding to advance the certification, production, and deployment of its all-electric aircraft ALIA and associated infrastructure. The funding supports BETA’s expansion of sustainable aviation for cargo, logistics, medical transport, and passenger services, aiming to lower transportation costs with its advanced electric propulsion systems and growing multimodal charging network.
Persperity Health Raises $1 mn
Persperity Health, a Caltech spinout focused on women’s health, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding led by Freeflow Ventures, with participation from Caltech, Wilson Hill Ventures, Heritage Group, and ATMA Capital.
The VC funding will accelerate the development of Persperity’s device, enabling women to monitor hormone levels, aiding in managing fertility and menopause.
Bifrost AI Raises $8 mn
Bifrost AI, a Generative 3D Data platform revolutionizing the creation of AI training data for real-world applications, has raised $8 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Carbide Ventures, with participation from Airbus Ventures, Peak XV’s Surge, Wavemaker Partners, MD One, and Techstars.
Bifrost will use the capital to accelerate the commercialization of its platform, targeting industries like aerospace, maritime, manufacturing, and national security. This technology has applications in creating autonomous systems, from drones that inspect power grids to robots that adapt to new tasks in record time, ultimately enabling AI systems to better interact with the physical world.
