Doppel, a fast growing AI native social engineering defense platform, has secured $70 million in Series C funding only six months after closing its Series B round.

The latest investment, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, brings the company’s total funding to $124 million and pushes its valuation to more than $600 million. The round includes new backers such as George Kurtz of CrowdStrike, NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Aurum Partners, and a group of athlete investors led by WNBA stars Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart, and Kelsey Plum through the a16z Cultural Leadership Fund. Returning investors include Andreessen Horowitz, South Park Commons, Script Capital, 9Yards Capital, Sozo Ventures, and Strategic Cyber Ventures.

The VC funding momentum reflects the growing urgency around AI fueled cyber threats. As generative AI tools accelerate the volume and sophistication of social engineering attacks across social media, messaging apps, paid advertising, and the dark web, enterprises are prioritizing solutions that can detect threats in real time. Doppel has emerged as a category leader by offering a multi channel defense platform powered by agentic AI and a real time threat graph. The platform unifies threat detection, automates takedowns, and strengthens employee awareness through deepfake driven simulations and advanced training.

Investors highlighted the company’s execution speed and technical strength. According to Elliott Robinson of Bessemer Venture Partners, Doppel’s ambition and focus make it one of the most compelling cybersecurity companies of the past decade. George Kurtz of CrowdStrike added that enterprises are facing unprecedented levels of AI enhanced manipulation and need modern tools capable of neutralizing these attacks.

The Series C funding will accelerate product development across Doppel’s Digital Risk Protection suite and expand its Human Risk Management capabilities. The company is investing heavily in Simulation and Security Awareness Training solutions, which have already gained strong traction since launching in August. The Simulation product now contributes a significant share of new bookings, reflecting rising demand for training that reduces real world risk.

Doppel’s growth metrics underline its momentum. The company achieved triple ARR growth year over year and recorded a more than fivefold increase in Fortune 500 customers. It now protects more than two hundred enterprises including Coinbase, Ramp, Commerce, Orrick, and leading brands in financial services, energy, technology, industrials, healthcare, and media. To support this scale, the team has more than doubled in size and continues hiring across engineering, product, sales, and marketing, while also expanding internationally.

Customers report impactful results. Commerce, the parent company of BigCommerce and Feedonomics, credited Doppel with helping reduce impersonation attacks and strengthening brand safety. A Fortune 500 agriscience company reported a ninety three percent reduction in exposed executive PII, calling Doppel a game changing partner in protecting high profile leaders.

A major milestone in Doppel’s technical roadmap is its work with OpenAI. By fine tuning OpenAI models with thousands of expert cybersecurity decisions, Doppel built an autonomous agent capable of identifying and neutralizing complex threats at machine speed, setting a new standard for AI driven security operations.

CEO and co founder Kevin Tian said the new funding validates the company’s vision and positions Doppel to accelerate growth even faster. The company has also introduced a refreshed brand identity to reflect its expanded mission and global scale.

With cybercriminals increasingly using AI to launch highly targeted social engineering attacks, the market for intelligent defense platforms is set for strong growth. Doppel’s latest funding round reinforces its position as a leading force in protecting organizations from AI powered manipulation and digital impersonation.
