The VC funding round was led by existing investors Uber Technologies and Khosla Ventures, with additional backing from Nvidia.

The funds will support Waabi’s plans to roll out its fully autonomous trucks next year. Founded in 2021, the company currently operates trucks with safety drivers on designated commercial routes and aims for full self-driving deployment by 2025.

In 2021, Waabi raised $83.5 million in a Series A funding round, also led by Khosla Ventures, with support from Uber and Aurora Innovation.

The company has secured a 10-year partnership with Uber Freight to transport cargo along commercial routes between Dallas and Houston in Texas. Looking ahead, Waabi plans to expand its operations nationwide and potentially internationally.
