Decagon, a startup specializing in artificial intelligence-powered customer support solutions, has raised $35 million in Series A and seed funding. The Series A round was led by Accel, with additional participation from Andreessen Horowitz.
Decagon leverages generative AI technology to either replace or augment a company’s customer support workforce, offering advanced solutions that enhance customer service interactions.
Forethought, another AI startup in the customer support space, has raised over $90 million from New Enterprise Associates and other venture capital funds.
Ivan Zhou, a partner at Accel, highlighted Decagon’s unique product capabilities. “Decagon’s product is differentiated because it not only powers a customer-support chatbot but also functions as an internal customer support liaison,” Zhou told Reuters.
