IT service provider Wipro has named Omkar Nisal as Chief Executive Officer, Europe Strategic Market Unit (SMU), effective immediately.
Omkar Nisal will report to Srini Pallia, Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director, and join the Wipro Executive Board.
Omkar Nisal succeeds Pierre Bruno, who is stepping down after four years.
Omkar Nisal joined Wipro in 2012 and has established himself as a trusted client advisor. Omkar Nisal led Wipro’s Banking-EMEA business, enabling digital transformation for financial institutions across UKI, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Most recently, Omkar Nisal served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the UK and Ireland, overseeing a $1 billion regional P&L.
Omkar Nisal aims to leverage his understanding of European market dynamics to drive growth and expansion. He emphasizes customer-centric approaches, resilience, and adaptability in achieving sustainable growth.
Omkar Nisal holds an honors degree in Computer Science and has filed patents in areas like Channels, AML, and Fraud Detection.
