Wipro, a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company, announced the acquisition of the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) unit of HARMAN, a Samsung company, for $375 million.

The move positions Wipro to significantly strengthen its AI-led engineering and digital transformation services portfolio, with completion of the deal expected by December 31, 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
The Harman Connected Services (DTS) unit employs more than 5,600 professionals across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. These employees, including leadership teams, will transition to Wipro as part of the agreement. This addition will expand Wipro’s engineering research and development (ER&D) expertise, accelerating next-generation digital innovation for global clients.
Wipro CEO Srini Pallia said: “Engineering expertise of DTS, combined with Wipro’s consulting-led, AI-powered capabilities, will significantly enhance the value we deliver to clients. Together, we’ll accelerate digital innovation, reduce time-to-market, and sharpen competitive advantage.”
The DTS division brings capabilities in digital engineering, connected products, and AI-native software platforms. Its portfolio includes domain-led design, proprietary accelerators, and autonomous agent frameworks that enable large-scale transformation. This complements Wipro’s global scale, giving clients the combined agility of a specialist provider with the resources of a global leader.
HARMAN leadership also sees the transaction as an opportunity for DTS to scale faster under Wipro. Christian Sobottka, CEO of HARMAN, noted that the agreement would allow DTS to “fully realize its growth potential with complementary capabilities and expanded client reach.”
The acquisition also includes a multi-year strategic agreement with HARMAN and Samsung, opening new avenues for joint growth and collaboration in AI and engineering services. Post-acquisition, DTS will be integrated into Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line, expanding the company’s influence in software-defined platforms and digital product innovation.
For software professionals, this acquisition underscores how global technology providers are betting big on AI, ER&D, and digital engineering. With DTS’ strong foothold in high-growth industries, Wipro is reinforcing its commitment to becoming a trusted transformation partner for enterprises navigating the next wave of digital disruption.
Earlier, Wipro acquired Capco in 2021 for $1.45 billion, significantly expanding its consulting and digital financial services expertise. The company has also invested in niche firms such as Rizing, a global SAP consulting firm, to strengthen its enterprise transformation practice.
These acquisitions reflect Wipro’s strategy of combining deep engineering, AI-native platforms, and industry-specific consulting to position itself as a trusted partner for enterprises undergoing large-scale digital transformation.
