We Energies have deployed Oracle DataRaker to update its IT infrastructure and help in reducing costs.
Oracle DataRaker will also help the We Energies enable more-proactive identification and prevention of imprecise meter readings for an overall improved meter to bill process.
Company claims that We Energies are using data analytics to quickly find metering issues and repairing them on priority basis to reduce break to fix time.
“Using data analytics was a game changer for how we approach our work and allowed us to gain the greatest possible benefit from our metering investments. We increase efficiency, improved customer satisfaction and avoided IT costs,” said Joan Shafer, senior vice president, customer services, We Energies.
“With Oracle DataRaker, the utility improved its meter to bill department processes by reducing costs and delays in identifying meter issues,” senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Utilities, Rodger Smith said.
In January 2015, Kansas City Power & Light implemented Oracle Utilities Network management system, Oracle Utilities Outage Analysis, Oracle Utilities Smart Grid Gateway and Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management to support advanced metering infrastructure initiative which helped to improve operational excellence.
Last year in September, Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Utilities Work and Asset management 1.9.1.2 with new enhancements which helped electric, gas and water utilities achieve greater operational efficiency through streamlined work planning process.
Oracle launched Oracle Utilities Network Management System 1.12 in January last year and helped utilities achieve greater operational and process efficiencies in the control room and in the field.
