Volkswagen office
German automobile company Volkswagen will set up a software development center in Lisbon, Portugal, Reuters reported.

The software development center will employ 300 software engineers, web developers and other specialists in the medium term and will develop cloud-based solutions for corporate processes and online services for its vehicles, especially trucks.

Alphabet Inc’s Google in January said it would open a new support center for Europe, Middle East and Africa in Oeiras on the outskirts of Lisbon, which would create 500 technology jobs. Various technology companies already have their local offices in Oeiras.
