UIDAI selects HCL Infosystems as managed service provider

Infotech Lead India: HCL Infosystems has signed a Managed Service Provider (MSP) contract with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to implement and manage the Central ID Repository (CIDR) for UIDAI.

 

The contract is for a period of seven years.

 

The end-to-end technology infrastructure of the UIDAI will be managed by HCL Infosystems as the designated MSP.

 

HCL Infosystems will be responsible for procurement and installation of IT infrastructure, implementation of information security management systems and operations support and maintenance. The scope of work also includes technical helpdesk, support services and database administration.

 

“With the award of the MSP contract to HCL Infosystems Limited, UIDAI looks forward to maximize efficiency and to bring to fruition the goal of providing a unique identification number to every Indian,” said BB Nanawati, DDG (Technology), UIDAI.

As the MSP for the project we are committed to meet and deliver our defined scope of work which broadly covers the implementation and the management of the Central ID Repository for UIDAI.
