TEDi, a discount retailer in Europe, has tapped NCR to provide point-of-sale (POS) solutions to improve customer service and drive sales.
The non-food retailer, which operates 1,400 stores across Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia and The Netherlands, will deploy up to 1,000 NCR RealPOS 50 systems in next two years. NCR has already supplied 400 units to TEDi stores.
NCR RealPOS 50 comes with a long life LED and is available with either resistive or capacitive touch technology. Its ruggedized design ensures years of dependable performance. The system is versatile as it can be used as a multimedia kiosk for self service applications.
Earlier this month, Great American Cookies has deployed the NCR Silver cloud based POS platform in 89 of its franchise stores nationwide. With NCR, franchise can easily modernize their POS experience and manage their business processes.
In January 2015, Axfood selected NCR POS and scanner technology to engage and interact with customers effectively and help increase sales. Axfood will deploy more than 2,500 NCR POS solutions till March 2015 at its Willys supermarket and Hemkop value stores.
“By equipping our stores with innovative NCR solutions, we no longer need to worry about the technology and can instead focus on providing great services for our customers and growing business. The NCR systems are easy to install, intuitive to use, and easy to maintain,” said Rene Zienert, head of IT and process management at TEDi.
