Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced its tech deal with Air France-KLM for modernizing its data infrastructure and migrating to the cloud.

Pierre-Olivier Bandet, Group CIO of Air France-KLM, aims to create the world’s most data-centric airline group. Strategy of Air France-KLM, which reported revenue of €7.9 billion in Q2 2024, is aimed at focusing on innovation by investing in digital technology and improvement in supply chain.
Over a three-year period, TCS will help Air France-KLM exit data centers and leverage the power of cloud computing to support sustainable aviation and improve efficiency across operations.
The new cloud-based data architecture will allow Air France-KLM to enhance decision-making, operational functionality, and data security while boosting efficiency across its flight operations, passenger information, aircraft maintenance, and e-commerce platforms.
TCS and Air France-KLM share a 30-year partnership that has included various digital advancements in reliability, customer service, and social media engagement, among others.
The project will involve 100+ TCS professionals across France, Netherlands, and India, closely collaborating with Air France-KLM teams based in Toulouse to achieve data accessibility on the cloud within the first year.
This partnership is expected to set new industry standards for data-driven solutions in the travel and hospitality sectors, with TCS leveraging its proprietary Aviana platform and newly established Aviation Digital Centre in Portugal for this transformation.
