Southwest Transplant Alliance (STA), a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through organ transplantation, has partnered with 8×8, a global provider of cloud communications solutions.
STA has implemented the 8×8 XCaaS (eXperience Communications as a Service) platform, along with 8×8 Voice for Microsoft Teams and 8×8 Contact Center for Microsoft Teams.
Operating in Texas and Arkansas, STA serves a vast service area encompassing 10 hospital transplant centers and over 270 hospitals. Their mission is to support the needs of more than 10.5 million residents and facilitate the recovery of organs, benefiting over 100,000 individuals.
STA has chosen the 8×8 XCaaS platform after receiving guidance from IT consultancy firm Softchoice.
By leveraging 8×8’s solution, STA has simplified communication channels between their teams, donors, clients, and hospitals. The integrated cloud contact center and unified communications platform provided by 8×8 offer extensive features such as analytics and reporting capabilities.
8×8 said these tools empower managers to improve workflows, provide training, and offer real-time insights for their fully staffed 24/7 inbound call center. The solution also ensures resilience, consistency, and business continuity by seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Teams, preserving the familiar user interface for STA’s personnel.
Hunter Middleton, the Chief Product Officer at 8×8, Inc., expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “With 8×8 XCaaS, Southwest Transplant Alliance can rely on seamless and consistent communications. This allows them to focus on essential aspects like donor care, family support, and swift responses during life-saving emergencies.”
