Software AG buys JackBe Corp

Software AG has acquired JackBe Corp.

The acquisition is part of its strategy to introduce webMethods Intelligent Business Operations Platform (IBO).

Software AG did not share financial details.

The privately-held JackBe provides real-time visual analytics and intelligence software that assists in managing the technology megatrend of large data volumes.

JackBe will serve as the foundation for Software AG’s new webMethods Intelligent Business Operations Platform that will provide an integrated, real-time awareness of dynamic operations and processes via visualizations, the company said on Thursday.

Increasing digitization enables enterprises to modernize their business models by implementing innovative cloud, mobile, social collaboration and big data technologies.

Software AG has acquired JackBe’s corporate office in Chevy Chase, Maryland, its research and development facility based in Silicon Valley as well as its Latin American office in Mexico City.

The client base of JackBe includes General Electric, Procter & Gamble, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo and Intel.
