Sobha Developers taps Tekla India for its Building Information Modeling software

Infotech Lead India: Sobha Developers, a real estate major, has selected Tekla Structures as its Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.

The Bangalore-based group will use Tekla BIM technology in all its business processes to create profitable projects with lesser environmental impact.

The association with Sobha enables Tekla India to expand its presence in the construction industry market as BIM software provider.

On the other hand, the pact enables Sobha to expand its adoption of building information modeling (BIM) – a process based on intelligent models that offers architects, engineers and builders a more predictable budgeting and greater flexibility in design through a fully-integrated constructability workflow.

“We chose Tekla BIM software after an extensive evaluation because, the extent of its solutions and services will give our architects, engineers and visualization specialists all over the world the accuracy, efficiency, flexibility and collaboration required for developing sustainable designs. It also improves the overall project quality with true visualization and real-time information at all project stages but without the waste and inefficiency associated with old techniques,” said Rajesh Shirakol, senior vice president, Design.

The use of Tekla BIM software will decrease the project run-through time, increase construction co-ordination and provide better design management.

“Tekla India is working with Sobha Developers to see a smooth transition of technology during the implementation phase. We will further continue to provide the required technical support through our service team in India,” said Nirmalya Chatterjee, COO, Tekla India.
