SAP Business One scores 50,000 customers

Business software major SAP Business One application customer list hit 50,000 with North America–based iMerchandise deploying the solution.

SAP made this announcement at the SAP SME Summit being held in New York City on November 10, 2015.

“We fulfill close to 2,000 orders every day, and to do that we really need a solution that integrates with our production fulfillment facilities, while delivering critical inventory and sales data,” said Glenn Morelli, president, iMerchandise.

iMerchandise deals with sports, music, entertainment and lifestyle merchandise.

Morelli noted that  SAP Business One provides the real-time visibility into the business that helps SMEs offer even better service to their customers and support growth.

The solution runs on the SAP HANA platform and it is offered in more than 27 languages. It is being used in over 150 countries, and can be deployed in cloud, on-premise or hybrid environments.

Also on Tuesday, SAP announced the opportunity to run the SAP Business One at data centers run by SAP.  The company said this new deployment option extends SAP’s dedication to helping SMEs succeed and grow in the digital economy.

SAP said partners can take advantage of this offer by helping SME customers benefit from streamlined operations.

The offering will be available first in North America, with expansion planned toEurope and Asia in 2016.

In late October,  SAP announced its ERP deal with Lloyd’s Register, an engineering, technical and business services organization.

As part of the ERP deal, SAP will be delivering an on-demand enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business management solution to Lloyd’s Register that has operations in 78 countries and more than 9,000 employees.

SAP solutions aim to simplify and enhance the company’s finance, project management, project resourcing and human resources (HR) processes.
