Samsung to set up Software Lab at Delhi Technological University

Infotech Lead Asia: Samsung will set up Software Lab at the Delhi Technological University (DTU) for students.

Samsung India Electronics and DTU signed an MoU for collaborative projects.

As part of the MoU, DTU will organize customized B.Tech (Software Technology) part time program for SIEL employees. Upto 30 employees of Samsung India will undertake this course every year.

Samsung India will award 2 gold medals, 1 each for M.Tech (Software Engineering/Computer Engineering) and M.Tech (Software Technology) to the top performing students every year.

DTU will start an outreach program in collaboration with Samsung India for under-privileged wherein they will be provided training.

The MoU will be initially for a period of four years and can be further renewed mutually.

Stewart Hong, managing director, Samsung Software Engineering Lab-India, said: “We value our relationship with DTU and believe that our collaboration with DTU will help us in strengthening the knowledge and innovation eco system in the country.”
