Rimini Street signs Crown Commercial Service contract in UK

Rimini Street, a provider of enterprise software support services, has signed an Enterprise Application Support Services agreement (EASS) with the UK government.

The EASS agreement, established by Crown Commercial Service (CCS), acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity.

The EASS agreement, according to Kelvin Lee, Senior Category Lead – Technology Products, Crown Commercial Service, is expected to save public sector customers up to 50 percent against standard renewals.

Rimini Street specializes in SAP Business Suite and BusinessObjects software and Oracle Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, E-Business Suite, Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware, Hyperion and Oracle Retail software.

Rimini Street has won several public sector clients in the UK. Globally the company has signed close to 100 public sector clients.

“Public sector organizations in the UK increasingly desire an alternative to expensive annual software vendor maintenance fees that maximizes IT budgets and drives greater value from software support costs,” said Jill Harrison, managing director for Europe, Rimini Street.

“The new agreement allows public sector organisations easy access to Rimini Street’s proven, leading independent support model,” Harrison added.

As part of Rimini Street’s focus on European market, the company opened its European Headquarters office in London’s Canary Wharf.

To date, the company has nearly 900 signed clients globally, including more than 100 Fortune 500 and Fortune Global companies, according to a statement from the company.

During the third quarter, Rimini Street reported net revenues of $22.4 million, 42 percent increase over the same quarter previous year.
