RESCUECOM Report: Windows 10 creating repair issues

Windows operating system and Windows app issues have increased dramatically since the release of Windows 10, RESCUECOM said in its third quarter repair report.

The computer repair and tech support firm said over half its tech support calls this quarter regarded problems with Windows 10. It also said 2015 as a whole has seen a rise in problems with the Windows operating system and Windows apps.

RESCUECOM noted that many less tech-savvy customers failed to understand that receiving the upgrade would mean converting their entire operating system from a familiar one to one they would need to relearn entirely.

Viruses, spyware and malware are ranked second in the RESCUECOM list, with 11.3 percent calls logged in this regard. Slow computer issues accounted for 7.4 percent.

The firm suggested that the best way to prevent computer repair is to keep everything completely updated. It recommended continuous use of a virus removal program such as the RESCUECOM Internet Security Suite.
