QNB deploys NCR APTRA Activate to support consumer transactions

Qatar National Bank (QNB) has selected NCR to deploy its Consumer Experience Banking (Cxbanking) software – APTRA Activate to support customer transactions.

By integrating with the bank’s current infrastructure, APTRA Activate will give consistent experience to the customers across the bank’s entire self service channel.

Company said that QNB has transformed banking services in the nation and is the first bank in Qatar to deploy NCR’s CxBanking Activate Platform.

QNB has moved to its self service network to the Windows 7 platform and is also the first large institution in the Middle East to do so.

With NCR’s APTRA Activate, QNB has enhanced its security and user experience.

“Our agreement with NCR will deliver the latest software technology to help transform the QNB banking experience so we can sharpen our focus on customers and better understand their needs”, said Adel Al-Malki, general manager information technology at QNB Group.

Company officials said QNB protects ATMs from insider attacks as it has already installed NCR Solidcore Suite for APTRA. The attacks are protected by preventing the introduction of unauthorized code on the network and maintain its integrity and availability.

Few days ago, Akbank has deployed NCR Interactive Teller to enhance customer experience and implemented three different uses of video banking technology.

Deployment of NCR Interactive Teller at main branch, deployment at Akbank new mini branch and deployment of NCR Interactive Teller Solution at shopping mall are the three uses of NCR video banking technology.

On 20th march 2015, Maxeda DIY Group announced the deployment of NCR technology to improve customer service and increase sales.
