OTG deploys NCR SelfServe 90

OTG Management has deployed NCR SelfServ 90 self checkout solution at its restaurant and retail locations.

The deployment of NCR SelfServ is done within LaGuardia Airport in New York City.

OTG, which focuses on dining, design, technology and ease of interaction for airport travelers, will use the NCR as a free standing self checkout kiosk and will support OTG to improve travelers’ experience.

The self checkout solution is installed at on a countertop or even mounted on a wall and is ideal for ‘grab-and-go’ shopping.

OTG selected NCR solution because of its software integration, ease of use and value and to reduce queues so that passengers can purchase items easily during peak hours. The solution is user friendly and travelers can use the solution with minimum or no instruction.

“NCR’s consumer transaction technologies enable us to offer our customers more control over their experience. We continue to introduce technologies that our customers are familiar with, such as self-checkout and mobile payment options like Apple Pay, which allow our crew members to spend more time on hospitality,” said Rick Blatstein, CEO of OTG.

OTG plans to deploy the NRC solution at Newark Liberty International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport later this year.

In February, MERKUP deployed NCR self-checkout solutions to reduce queues, improve customer service and operational effectiveness in its 128 stores.

Few days ago, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) deployed NCR RealPOS 72XRT systems while replacing 6000 points of sale terminals.

In January, NCR announced the availability of the NCR SelfServ 90, a part of its FastLane SelfServ checkout solutions, for using as a free-standing self-checkout kiosk that can be installed on a countertop or mounted on a wall.
