Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, a health benefits company, has tapped Oracle Fusion Advanced Controls to drive efficiencies.
The health benefits firm will benefit from business processes and reduced costs as it will streamline its upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.
Leveraging Oracle’s real-time monitoring and proactive enforcement capabilities, the U.S.-based full service health benefits company will try to reduce operational risks and costs without affecting the quality of care for its customers.
“We selected Oracle Fusion Advanced Controls to help improve controls through automation, improve efficiencies in the audit and testing process and to ultimately help the Company reduce costs while still maintaining a robust system of internal controls,” said Michelle Clayman, corporate controller at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Oracle Health Sciences recently introduced Oracle Enterprise Healthcare Analytics Cloud Service, which is a cloud-based version of Oracle’s data management, warehousing and analytics platform.
Oracle Advanced Controls, a component of the Oracle Fusion Applications suite, will assist Harvard Pilgrim to benefit from an automated process monitoring solution, replacing manually intensive controls.
The healthcare provider will also optimize key processes and support the company’s ERP system upgrade.
Oracle Fusion Advanced Controls, including Oracle Application Access Controls Governor and Oracle Configuration Controls, will assist the company to gain better control over its upgrade to the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 and improve change management.
Oracle says Harvard Pilgrim is planning an upgrade of its extensive and integrated implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite, covering 30 modules in a single global instance, including modules within Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, Human Capital Management, Projects, and Order Management.
In addition, Harvard Pilgrim will utilize Oracle GRC Manager, part of Oracle Governance, Risk, and Compliance, to conduct regular compliance testing cycles to help secure its core ERP system from potential fraud, waste and abuse while helping ensure compliance.
