Oracle taps Nuance voice and language offerings for mobile apps

Oracle has selected Nuance Communications voice and language offerings for its mobile apps.

The enterprise IT vendor will use Nuance Cloud Services to add speech recognition and synthesis to certain mobile apps that support Oracle Applications for ERP, SCM, CRM, and HCM, Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud Service, Oracle RightNow Cloud Service and Oracle Taleo Cloud Service, among others.

Employees will be able to utilize voice and language understanding capabilities to access and use enterprise applications in mobile environments. Voice technologies can assist enterprises to cut employee learning curves and improve productivity for mobile users.

Utilizing Nuance’s speech recognition and natural language understanding technologies, more than ten billion transactions are processed through Nuance cloud platforms. In addition, Nuance cloud solutions enable human-like speech recognition experiences for nearly any device and platform, in more than 40 languages.
